But it's okay (at least that's what I keep telling myself), the "sweet" sprinkled on that sundae is so yummy I can't help but gobble it up. Like what? Like when he kisses his baby brother on the cheek and says, "I'm loving him." When he says, "I need to dance" "Come dance with me" and runs to turn on the radio (his thing lately is looking for the Spanish stations). Then after a while he says, "I'm sweaty, let's take a break." And of course at the end of the night (after he's thrown a fit about going to bed) when he wraps his little arms around me to give me a "hug, snuggle, kiss" I leave him to sleep, fall on the couch in exhaustion and TRULY look forward to doing it all over again tomorrow.

Zane, what have you been up to this last blink of an eye?
| Bloody boo boo! |
I shed blood for the first time AND got a bee sting this month. Man it's a rough world out there. I took it in stride and hardly shed a tear.
I got some skills this month and I'm pretty impressed with myself. First off I like to wave, a LOT. (It's not so much that he "waves" it's more like he puts his hand in the air to say, "what up"). If you're lucky I'll blow you a kiss. Boy do the ladies get a kick out of this one. If I'm feeling cheeky I'll play peek-a-boo but I like to keep you guessing. Sometimes I put my hands over my eyes and sometimes it's one hand over my eye and one over my ear. You never what I'll peek-a-boo with!
| Oh hiii. |
No Joke, this is how he "smiles" when he's trying to be cute.
Oh I don't know if you noticed but I got my 1st haircut. Daddy said he wanted to do it himself. Momma says the next one he'll be paying for in a REAL kid salon.
What else have I been up to? Drum roll please! WALKING (okay more like taking steps but I will be a full fledged walker soon)!! It all started with chair racing with my brother then I honed those skills into basket sledding and finally taking my first steps and my parents got on video! A pretty good month if you ask me. Lots of good stuff. Wait till you see what I do next month!
Harley Bratwurst
Harley celebrated his 6th birthday this past month and we are at 24 weeks without a seizure. This is mind blowingly awesome...if it weren't for the Pancreatitis. Our poor pooch now has the Pancreatitis. Why? How? Oh jeeze if only I could answer that question. Since a dog can't talk you can only guess what the issue is and hope to find the right solution quickly. Our guess is, it's his food and/or his medication. Harley is on a very protein rich food (no grain due to the whole "what is Harley allergic to" days) and lots of protein can kick the pancreas into overdrive. Also the Potasium Bromide (PB) he's on can lead to Pancreatitis. Okay, just stop giving him PB. Yeah well we don't want to give him more Phenobarbitol (the primary med for his seizures) because his last liver check showed elevated signs of damage caused by the Pheno (the PB helps to reduce the need for pheno) and 24 record breaking weeks without a seizure...so we are gonna try changing his diet first, feed him more frequently, and have acid reducers at the ready. The things we do for the unconditional love of our furbabies.
